John Wallace

John Wallace was born and raised in New England. He worked in his family’s 200-year-old Inn there during his teen years. A proud patriot, John served his country as a medic in the US Army from 1978-1981, tending to the wounded in the line of duty. This experience instilled in him a deep sense of honor and integrity, and a desire to help others. This desire has been key to his decisions throughout life, including his career choice. He returned to work with his family for eight years after his service ended.

In 1989, John made the journey to the Pacific Northwest and found himself enchanted by its rugged beauty, and independent spirit. He quickly made a home for himself and over the years, he developed a deep appreciation for the region’s arts, natural wonders, and diverse communities. He spent many years in exotic food sales, as well as performing regularly as an accomplished jazz musician. 

John began his career as a mortgage loan officer in 2001. It was a natural transition for him to begin assisting clients in consolidating their revolving debt and creating a path to a more promising financial future. The great recession in the early 2000s was a lesson in grit and grace for John but instilled in him a desire to learn from the mistakes of others to advise his future clients.  Moreover, he is now an expert in all types of mortgages, including reverse, investment, jumbo loans, and many others, for instance. 

Furthermore, John enjoys gardening, cooking, foraging, and spending time with his beautiful wife Linda, and their lazy cat Bob. They spend their time savoring the simple pleasures of life in the Pacific Northwest.
